People released before trial on an ankle monitor in Harris County are watched through equipment and services the county buys for its Pretrial Services department. On August 25, 2026 the Commissioners Court approved a one year renewal with Sentinel Offender Services, LLC, from November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2027, at a cost of $13,065,000. Four members voted yes; County Judge Lina Hidalgo was absent.
